Chicago Trip

Chicago is probably my new favorite city. There is so much to do and it is all within walking distance. My mom met us there and we spent the week eating yummy food, shopping, site-seeing, and celebrating my 25th birthday while Todd was stuck in conference meetings for most of the time. He did get to spend most of the last day with us exploring the pier and the Art Institute of Chicago.

I was so grateful to have my mom there for the week! I felt so spoiled to have her all to myself and we loved shopping for baby clothes, I think our little boy is going to be the best dressed little man out there thanks to Zara on the Magnificent Mile! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mom.

Here are some quick pics of our trip:

The Bean on a beautiful day in the city, we had to shed our coats for the almost 70 degree weather!

I haven't liked sweets since I've been pregnant, but you can't say no to beignets at Grand Lux. YUM. We may have gone to Grand Lux twice on the trip her my request to get the salmon three ways.

My shirt was a hit in the city, thank you mom! A green velvet sprinkles cupcake for St. Patty's was amazing.

Pizzanos for dinner one night.

Green river for St. Patty's Day.

Chicago Pier

Todd needed a hot dog while we were there, so we stopped at a random hole in the wall place for him to get one. I just watched, no hot dogs for me.

View from the Art Institute.

Fun fact, Divergent's ferris wheel scene was filmed on this ferris wheel.

Best trip with my love and my mom. I was so lucky to spend my birthday week in such a fun city. I hope to be back soon and over a weekend so I can see a show.
