Graduation Weekend

Two weekends ago Todd graduated with his Masters in Healthcare Administration from UNC! I am so incredibly proud of him and all of the hard work he has put in during his two years here. In November he accepted a fellowship at St. Luke's hospital in Houston, so we are packing up and heading to Texas!

Sunday after graduation we headed to Italy with our family (blog post to come!) so we came back to a week full of packing and crossing things off of our NC bucket list before our move next week. It feels like we just moved here and now we are packing up for another cross country move. We are excited for the change, but we are going to miss NC like crazy! I love this beautiful state, the yummy food, and all of our amazing friends.

Here are some pictures from graduation:

Cheers to Chapel Hill and UNC and the wonderful time we've had here. Onto our next adventure!

Todd's Graduation Weekend

Todd's graduation weekend was awesome, with a little unexpected twist. On Wednesday night last week my dad went into the ER and apparently had scar tissue built up on his intestines from having his appendix removed years ago. My mom was up in Logan helping Taylor move out of her dorm, so she rushed down, dropped the girls off with us, and left for the airport to fly home.

It was pretty scary, but dad is great, just sore and in recovery at home. So I took care of the girls for the weekend. We stayed in Provo and went to watch my good friend Brady perform at a Roof Top Concert with his band, The National Parks.

Then, Taylor needed someone to make the drive to Denver with her, so on Saturday I drove home to Colorado, stayed the night, then flew back on Sunday afternoon. It was a great excuse to see my dad but I didn't want to leave! It was such a tease, good thing I am going back Memorial Day weekend.

So all is well for now, just frantically getting ready for our garage sale on Saturday weather pending again. Praying for the motivation to start packing this weekend! I am so proud of Todd and all of his hard work, great job honey!

The Waiting Game

January is my least favorite month of the year because in Utah that means you rarely see the sun and you have to scrape your car daily. The most painful part of this month dragging on is waiting for our Europe trip in March and finding out where Todd is going for grad school. It's hard not knowing where you will be living in six months. There is no way to plan and I like to always have a plan.

Even though this has been a slow going month getting back into our daily routine and anxiously awaiting our trip and grad school, here are a few things that have happened to us thus far this month:

  • We've gone snowboarding up at Solitude Mountain Resort.
  • We got addicted to Super Mario thanks to our friends Kyle and Erika.
  • Dinner with awesome friends.
  • I gave Indian food a second chance and it was delicious! Thank you Mark and Stephanie!
  • My little sister Taylor got her mission call and is going to the New York, Rochester mission.
  • Ate some of the best cheesecake we have ever had at Tin Roof Grill.
  • Todd finally saw one of my new favorite movies, The Butler, to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. If you haven't seen it, go see it!
